This website is under revision, a process that will probably take a few weeks. I am breaking up my old website into an author’s website (this one), and a brand-new website dedicated to the Soviet women aviators of the Great Patriotic War. The new site will be at letchitsy.com — “letchitsy” (летчицы) being the Russian word for “female pilots,” the term that was used for them at the time. Some elements of the old site such as transcripts of my interviews with Polina Gelman and Valentina Kravchenko, will be transferred to the new site.
I also run a third website dedicated solely to fighter pilot Lidiia Litviak: http://www.lilylitviak.org. It is currently parked but may be visible until I’m able to rework the site and transfer it to a new host. In the meantime there may be broken links and other issues.
